The Traveler’s Song
New American composers series
with nilo alcala
Seattle Pro Musica continues its New American Composers Series with special guest Nilo Alcala. Nilo showcases lively stories and melodies from the Philippines, and SPM is excited to present the world premiere of his energetic new work The Traveler's Song. SPM will also be joined in concert by local youth choirs for a rousing finale of Papanok A Lakitan, one of Nilo's most engaging pieces. Along with featured works by Paul Mealor, Laura Jēkabsone, and First Nations composer Andrew Balfour, The Traveler's Song will take audiences on a sprawling journey of choral sounds from around the world.
