Every season, we share the power of music and choral arts with youth and underserved communities.
In addition to our primary concert series, we share the choral arts and connect with the community through education programs for local schools and outreach appearances outside the Seattle area.
During our 2016-17 season, we participated in the Seattle Symphony’s “Link Up” program, featuring “The Orchestra Sings” – exploring melody as
a universal element of music. Thousands of students participated by singing, playing, composing, and performing in six culminating concerts at Benaroya Hall in March 2017. Seattle Pro Musica provided the leading voices for the chorus of students, demonstrating excellent, healthy choral singing.
We also worked with the Seattle Symphony on their “Path with Art” program in March 2017. Path with Art transforms the lives of people recovering from homelessness, addiction, and other trauma by harnessing the power of creative engagement as a bridge to community and a path to stability. Path with Art adult students participated in a 16-week residency at the Seattle Symphony, working with Seattle Symphony Teaching Artists to create an original community composition. Seattle Pro Musica participated with a chamber ensemble of Seattle Symphony musicians and Path with Art students to premiere this community composition at Benaroya Hall.
For the 2014–15 season, Seattle Pro Musica presented New Sounds Northwest, a concert of new choral works by 10 Washington state composers. Performances took place in Seattle, West Seattle, Richland, Olympia, and Bothell.
During the 2013–14 season, Seattle Pro Musica performed Britten+, a special concert celebrating Benjamin Britten's centenary, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Seattle (October 2013), St. John's Episcopal Church in Olympia (November 2013), and Trinity Lutheran Church in Tacoma (February 2014).
Education & OUTREACH
Seattle Pro Musica is committed to building audiences and singers of the future. Through our Education and Outreach Program, we support music educators in their effort to inspire their students to develop a lifelong love for choral music.
Annually, Seattle Pro Musica partners with several local music teachers to invite their most promising young singers to rehearse and perform with us in concert. Again this year, our Christmas with Seattle Pro Musica Family Concert will feature elementary and middle school students.
This program offers student singers the invaluable opportunity to sing with an adult choir in a professional setting with a master conductor, to receive valuable advice and encouragement in the company of other talented young people, and to inspire their entire school choir program with the insights and experience they gain.
The Education and Outreach Program is always seeking new partnerships and participants, and we invite you to help us make connections for future seasons. It is our goal to reach out to student singers of all backgrounds, but we especially appreciate the opportunity to touch the lives of young people who would otherwise be unable to attend high quality choral events.
If you have an interest in our Education and Outreach Program, would like to suggest a school or music program for a future partnership, or would simply like to learn more, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thank you for bringing good music to Puyallup!
It was AWESOME.
I appreciate the depth of choral selection.
Wonderful, beautiful, fantastic music.
It was truly a pleasure to work with [Karen P. Thomas] and Seattle Pro Musica and to see what fantastic people you all are on and off the stage. The entire evening was a massive success; feedback from guests was positive and enthusiastic. I look forward to future performances by your choir!

I learned that it doesn’t only take talent to become a great singer but it also takes a lot of focus, determination, and charisma.
I loved that as soon as the conductor stepped up to the stand they all opened their folder and were prepared to sing. It was so amazing to see them do our warm-ups, because it’s cool to see that we do the same things as one of the best choirs I have come to see. I will definitely take warm ups more seriously now that I see that they do them.
Joint Concert with Northwest Girlchoir
It was an amazing experience to sing with Seattle Pro Musica last weekend; thank you so much for the incredible opportunity! It was wonderful to get a taste of being in a professional choir, and I certainly would like to do it again sometime...[T]hanks again to you and all the members of your choir for making us feel so welcome!
